Mountain Ash Preserves

Mountain Ash Preserves is a student run business in School District 47. In this business we prepare our products in a commercial kitchen that is shared with Vancouver Island University and the Culinary Arts cooking students. We use cooking procedures that are preservative free and we process our finished products using a hot water boil. We try to source local ingredients whenever possible. We learn many skills while operating this business such as cooking, marketing, and presentation skills. We also learn how to work as a team and strengthen our social skills.
